Manager: Mr. Fumey
These General Conditions of Sale (GCS) apply to all reservations made via the website of THE CATHAR CHALET for the rental of the cottage located in Saissac. They define the terms of reservation, payment, cancellation and use of the services.
Reservations are made online via the form available on the website. A deposit of 35 % of the total rental amount is required to validate the reservation. The balance must be paid no later than 60 days before the scheduled arrival date.
Payment can be made by credit card via a secure system.
The rental rate includes a reasonable and estimated consumption of electricity, defined on the basis of normal use of the equipment and facilities. An electricity meter reading will be taken upon the tenant's arrival and departure, in order to measure actual consumption. In the event of a clear and excessive excess of the estimated consumption, the owner reserves the right to withhold from the deposit an amount corresponding to the difference, after presentation of supporting documents (meter readings, invoice, etc.). The tenant will be informed as soon as possible.
A deposit of €1000 by check deposit may be requested upon arrival or taken from the credit card used for the reservation. This deposit covers any damage caused during the stay. In the absence of damage, it will not be taken or will be returned within 3 days after departure.
In the event of damage, part or all of the deposit may be retained to cover the cost of repair or replacement. If the costs exceed the amount of the deposit, an additional invoice will be sent.
In the event of cancellation by the customer, the following conditions apply:
The manager reserves the right to cancel a reservation in the event of force majeure. In this case, all sums paid will be fully refunded.
Arrival at the cottage is from 4:00 p.m. and departure must take place before 9:15 a.m. Any arrival or departure outside these times must be agreed in advance with the owner.
The tenant agrees to use the cottage in a peaceful and respectful manner. Any behavior or use contrary to public order or morality will result in the immediate cancellation of the rental contract, without refund.
The owner is not responsible for theft, loss or damage to the tenants' personal property during their stay. It is the tenant's responsibility to take all necessary measures to protect their property.
The owner cannot be held responsible in the event of non-performance of its obligations if this is due to an unforeseeable, irresistible and external event (force majeure).
In the event of a dispute, the parties undertake to seek an amicable solution. Failing this, the competent court will be that on which the registered office of the owner of the gîte depends.
The data collected during the reservation is used only for the management of the reservation. It will not be transferred to third parties under any circumstances. In accordance with the "Informatique et Libertés" law, the customer has the right to access, modify and delete data concerning him/her.
